Hive Helsinki – The Coder is Dead, Long Live the Coder

The future technology professionals are generalists. Join us for a Friday webinar organized by Hive Helsinki, where we will discuss the transformation of the technology industry, changes in skill profiles, and the alternative pathway to a tech career offered by Hive.

Hive is a free, project-based programming school with no teachers. Students work together on projects at the Hive campus, supporting each other along the way. Anyone over 18 can apply to Hive’s 18-month program.

In the webinar, we will discuss:

💻 The current state of the technology industry and changes in required skill profiles.
💡 How Hive’s project-based learning works in practice — and why it prepares students for the constant changes of the working world.
🧭 What skills emerge when learning without traditional teaching but with the support of a community: self-direction, stress resilience, teamwork, and the ability to quickly learn new things.
🚀 Why anyone can learn programming — even those without a technical background.

Welcome onboard!
