Thank you very much for sharing your expertise and time with us!

The aim of the Mimmit koodaa program is to increase diversity and expertise in the technology sector.

In the longer term, we are building a field in which future generations will have equal opportunities to study and succeed, regardless of gender.

Webinars and workshops

The content comes from companies and volunteers who want to share their expertise or something they are passionate about. Examples include educational content on broader topics (e.g., UX, different programming languages, Lean, work life skills, team leading, etc.).

We provide Zoom or Teams, but the event can also be held on the company’s own virtual platform. The local event is held at the company’s premises or another mutually agreed location.

The Mimmit koodaa program is responsible for the event landing page, registration, marketing, gathering participants, publishing the recording on YouTube, and social media. The company has the full right to post and share information about the event as it sees fit.

Differences between events
Friday webinars are held on Fridays from 12:00 to 13:00: the hour usually includes about 45 minutes of content and about 15 minutes of Q&A.

Workshops last from a few hours to a whole day/days at a mutually agreed time. If the event is held as a local event, it is important to allow for breaks and meals.

Once you have agreed on the event with Milja, you can enter the event information using the link below. Please use the language that will be used at the event (fi/en/swe).

Any costs related to venue rental or meals are the responsibility of the companies.

Instagram takeover:
instructions for partners

What is Takeover all about?
Mimmit koodaa takeover is a way to break down prejudices related to technology and make the field more accessible. The goal is to show the diversity of people and paths into the technology field – from everyday life.

Takeover week is not about marketing talk. It is an opportunity to build empathy and relatability – to show what kind of work people actually do.

What kind of content can you share?
Some good themes include:

  • everyday moments and the workday.
  • your own ”specialties” or practical routines.
  • lessons learned, failures, and successes.
  • honest feelings (it’s okay to show the difficult days too!).
  • discussions and questions that followers can respond to.

Be authentic. It’s easier to relate to people who don’t have everything perfectly under control – because that’s not how working life is anyway. ❤️

What will be published?
The week starts with a feed post (by 9 a.m. on Monday, can also be scheduled for you):

  • Who is doing the takeover?
  • What’s coming up this week?
  • What would you like to discuss or ask questions about?

We will also share the introductory post on our other channels on Monday and highlight the week in our newsletter.

The actual interaction takes place in stories – it is a good idea to publish them throughout the week. Stories can be saved as highlights if they contain a clear tip, lesson, or added value. Personal stories are not usually saved to highlights. If you run out of space, you can delete the oldest ones. During the week, you can freely use your company’s visual identity and image material. When you make a more permanent post on your feed, the takeover week will also leave a mark outside the stories section.

Follow @mimmitkoodaa on Instagram to see what kind of takeovers others have done and what kind of questions they have received. For more information, contact sanna@mimmitkoodaa.fi
